The Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2021 with Le Bailli de Suffren Hotel

To the great delight of sailing enthusiasts, Saint-Tropez’s flagship regatta will indeed take place this year! From September 25 to October 9, the most beautiful yachts and sailboats from around the world will meet in the waters of the Gulf, hoisting their sails and putting on a fantastic show. Book your stay now at Le Bailli de Suffren Hotel so you can attend this prestigious event: Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez.

The history of the Voiles de Saint-Tropez began one evening back in 1981, when two sailors set themselves a challenge: to sail around Nioulargo beach and be the first to arrive in front of Club 55, a restaurant in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez on Pampelonne beach. This race was to give birth to the regatta, which is so eagerly anticipated every year in late September.

Competitors have a new format for the twenty-third Voiles de Saint-Tropez, with over 200 classic and modern yachts facing each other in the first week. The port of Saint-Tropez will then be set aside exclusively for 50 modern heavyweights for the second part of the regatta: the Voiles Maxi Yachts.

There’s magic in the air out at sea and ashore during the Voiles de Saint-Tropez. The Voiles 2021 village in the very heart of the legendary town of Saint-Tropez has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Saint-Tropez Esprit Village retailers’ association organises musical evenings every day from 5.30 p.m. with DJs and live musicians, all held on a boat-shaped base measuring around 2,500 m2. A festive atmosphere also reigns in the streets with performing acrobats, stilt-walkers and jugglers. And the sailors don’t just compete at sea: they’ll also challenge each other on dry land with games of tug-of-war and arm wrestling.
